We stopped entering all the silly advertising award shows a long time ago for one simple reason - they hinder creativity!
You see, when agencies and creatives desperately want to win industry award statues, they create work designed specifically to win awards, not to solve a strategic branding problem.
There are no "award categories" for some of the breakthrough solutions we came up with for our clients.
Besides, we think most of the people in the ad biz are geeks anyway. And, we could really give a rat's ass if they honor us with a friggin' golden pencil or lion (Nerds!).
